Podcast Booking Information

Guests must have access to Zoom

Guests must attend a test call before the show (will be booked separately via email from ally@codependencykate.com)

Guest portion of every show begins at 11:15am Central time. Guest portion of show is from 11:15am - 11:45am (30 min).

• Download and make sure your Zoom is updated- this is where the call will take place. Your face will NOT be recorded, Kate just prefers to connect on video!

• There will be a test call with Kate's assistant 1 hour before the actual call (please see timezone conversions at the bottom of this page). It will last anywhere from 1 minute to 10, and we will test your audio/video and you can ask any additional questions.

• 5 minutes before the time of the call with Kate, you will enter the waiting room of the provided Zoom link. When Kate lets you in, you will be live. We estimate calls to be 20-45 minutes. The podcast begins at 10:30am CT, the guest portion begins at 11am CT.

• Please set aside one hour to account for any lag time on the front and back end, and keep an eye on the clock during the call so you can stay focused on getting your questions answered :) As for the call itself, Kate will lead the entire thing. If you’re nervous or don’t know what to say, she will guide you so do not worry! She will start by saying something like “hi welcome ‘Your Pseudonym’! Let’s get started. Why don’t you give me a quick summary of your situation and any questions you have.”

• Please make sure you are in a quiet, private environment, free from any interruptions or distractions. This preserves the integrity of the audio, helps in post-production, and honors the sensitive nature of the calls. Make sure your TV is turned down, your radio is off, you have childcare, etc. Due to the sensitive topics of these discussions, we must stress that your children must not interrupt you. If you can't ensure childcare, privacy, and quiet, we must reschedule your date.

• PLEASE keep the summary below 5 minutes. For times sake, Kate may interrupt you and ask you to summarize if you are too long winded. Please understand it is totally normal to do so, as these situations are sensitive and you may feel like they require every detail all at the beginning. But don’t worry, if Kate needs to know it she will ask it and it will most likely be revealed throughout the call.

• Kate will end the call by saying “thank you so much for calling and helping our viewers by sharing your story. You got this” or something of that nature.
